SHOCKING: Family of six forced to live in single room

A FAMILY of six was forced to live in a single bedroom in one of the most-worrying examples of the poor conditions asylum seekers are living in here.

Unpublished inspection reports into State-funded asylum accommodation – obtained by the Irish Times – also found serious breaches of fire safety, child protection and that some residents had to eat cold food because kitchen facilities were so poor.

There are currently 34 centres run by private firms in which 4,600 people live.
