SPORT: England boss Roy Hodgson shuts-door for CHELSEA defender John Terry’s recall

Thursday, February 13, 2014-England manager, Roy Hodgson, has shut the door for a possible recall of Chelsea Captain, John Terry, to the Three Lions for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Terry, who retired from international football in September 2012 following a fall-out with the FA after he was fined for racial slur, has been in sensational form for the Blues this season.

His formidable partnership with Gary Cahill at Chelsea has led to speculations of a recall but Hodgson seem s to be satisfied with the options at his disposal including Everton defender Phil Jagielka and Manchester United’s Chris Smalling.

Hodgson said: "John has retired. As far as I'm concerned, that is the situation.
"We've got along without him for the whole of the qualification and quite a few friendly matches, and we'll have to get along without him in the future.

"As far as I'm concerned, retirement is retirement."

England will play Denmark in a friendly on March 5 before Hodgson names his final squad to the world’s premier football show piece in Brazil.
