Fortune teller stabbed to death by her son before he killed himself

Misfortune: Video claiming to be the palm reader being taken away from the crime scene
The son of a fortune teller slit his mother's throat in a fit of rage, after fighting with her about customers coming to their house for healing and palm readings.
Angela Zappalla, 59, was found sprawled on the floor of her home in the Sicilian village of Fiumefreddo in a pool of blood after her son Peter Battiato stabbed her to death.
Zappalla, a mother of three, had begun working from home to earn extra money offering 'healing' and palmistry, zgcjj.com reported.
Neighbours say they frequently heard her quarrelling with her son, but it was never reported to the police.
Police found tarot cards and other fortune telling paraphernalia in the house.

It is thought that Battiato had become impatient with the coming and going of customers through the house.
After an argument which had raged late into the early hours of Tuesday morning, Zappalla allegedly took a kitchen knife and slaughtered his mother in her bed.
After allegedly cutting her throat and stabbing her in the heart, Patiato is believed to have called the police, saying: "Come, I killed my mother."
He was found by police sitting in the kitchen of the house they shared, smoking a cigarette, still holding the kitchen knife, reports say.
According to police, Battiato said: "I had a fight with my mother, I could not take any more."
Then, before officers could stop him, he took the knife and stabbed himself several times in the stomach.
He was rushed to hospital in Taormina, but later died from blood loss and serious internal injuries.
The village of Fiumefreddo is known for being the setting for many famous scenes in the Godfather film trilogy.
